Westport Town is serviced by regular buses, local taxi companies and harbours a train station just on the outskirts of town which is connected to all major city routes. Westport is also serviced by a ferry company which has regular routes to the Clare Islands.
Tour guide Stephen is a treat not to be missed if you have an hour to hear an informative and tongue-in-check local (potted) history of the town narrated from strategic locations around Westport town centre.
Our Harry Potter look alike guide was engaging, informative and amusing. The tour costing euro 5 lasts one hour followed by a tea or coffee which is included in the price! Highly recommend as its great fun and not at all strenuous!
